Ron Neggers, Architect is a full service architecture firm specializing in residential design and project management, located in Evanston, Illinois. I have been in the architecture profession since 1984, and founded the business in 1996. We work on a wide range of projects, from interior renovations, to extensive remodeling and additions, to new custom home design and construction.
Client focused design
All projects are centered on you, the client. I believe in a collaborative approach between the client, architect, designers and builders in which all share their expertise and commitment to quality in order to create a successful, beautiful project. In this regard I provide a measured level of leadership necessary to promote a smooth, well coordinated project. I am honored to associate with some of the finest design and construction companies and individuals in the business and to serve the greatest clients in the world. My goal is to inspire you and help bring your ideas, desires and vision to life through an enjoyable process, and create great value in your home.
Design Philosophy
From a design standpoint, I don’t adhere to a single design style. I like working in both traditional and contemporary styles. If I were a musician you could say I like to play both classical and jazz music. I offer design services through what I term either The Classic Studio or The Modern Studio. I am greatly inspired by the personality of the client and the context of the site which the building occupies. I believe a new house or addition should be a unique solution which reflects the style and personality of the client and is also in harmony with the style of the building or character of the neighborhood. Beyond this, I seek to create an attractive home through the use of proper scale, proportion, color, appropriate level of detail, quality materials and construction craftsmanship.
Quality Standards and Green Design
I am a member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA, a professional organization which sets best practice and performance standards to serve our clients. I am also certified with the US Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional, LEED AP. I encourage the use of environmentally sustainable “green” design principles to the extent you would like to pursue them.
